    To be an expert to a child, you simply need to know one thing more than them. Participants in this workshop will learn how to implement sign language to enhance literacy, projects, and classroom management. (60 minutes)

    By demand, this workshop is a sequel to the popular session Using Sign Language Without Being Fluent. In this workshop, participants learn how to implement sign language into rug times, transitions, and classroom management. (60 minutes)

  • A Stands for Advocacy

    Using our outside voices for real change

    You! Yes, you covered in paint! You are an advocate! This workshop discusses all the ways educators can take on the role of advocacy. Focuses on using social media platforms, letter writing, and extending our voices. (60 minutes)

  • Literacy Rich Environments

    In this workshop, participants unpack components of a literacy-rich classroom. From the basics components of literacy to engaging parents with home literacy activities, this workshop has it all. As an additional bonus, this workshop contains activities to link SEL learning and literacy-rich activities. (60 minutes)

    Documentation makes learning visible! In this workshop, participants learn the importance of documentation, the art of curating impactful artifacts, and how to assemble them in an impactful way. (60 or 120 minutes)

2023 Keynotes

  • Love and Resilience! You've Got This

    We are all experiential learners, and in a time unlike any other, we've all learned a lot! In this keynote, we reflect on the love, resilience, and little wins that help us through every day! 

    The keynote is all about reflection. Using prompts from literacy and guided by the principles of resilience, the participants take a closer look at the amazing work they do. (60 minutes)

  • Every Moment Matters

    Over one million neurological connections are made every second in a child’s brain. This keynote explores opportunities to make the most of every minute. This keynote gets you in the feels with a mixture of video, reflection, and tangible takeaways. Participants hear about the real impact they have as educators and regain the passion that brought them into the classroom in the first place. (60 minutes)
